Floating floors go down quickly over most flat subfloors.
Where it works best
Kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, basements and anywhere with kids or pets.
Care
Sweep or vacuum and clean with a damp mop. Avoid steam mops and rubber-backed mats that can discolour the surface.
Is vinyl really waterproof?
The planks themselves are waterproof. Standing water should still be wiped up so it doesn't reach the subfloor at the edges.
Can it go in a basement?
Yes. Vinyl is one of the best choices for below-grade rooms.
Will it scratch?
It resists everyday wear well. Felt pads under furniture help keep it looking new.
