Where it works best
Living rooms, family rooms, bedrooms and hallways. For bathrooms and basements we usually suggest vinyl.
Care
Sweep or vacuum and clean with a lightly damp mop. Wipe up spills quickly and keep wet mopping to a minimum.
Is laminate waterproof?
Laminate resists spills when wiped up quickly, but it isn't designed for standing water. Vinyl is the better pick for wet rooms.
Laminate or vinyl?
Laminate is harder and more scratch-resistant; vinyl is waterproof and softer underfoot.
Can it go over my old floor?
Often yes, if the old floor is flat and solid. We check during the estimate.
